My first month in Barcelona

Barcelona is a great city where it is good to live, to walk in the streets to discover new squares and shops, I love.
I arrived in early May with my boy-friend . We are both doing an internship at Dpinflatables in Barcelona.

We chose to take an apartment relatively close to the center so we could easily move around and enjoy the city.
Barcelona is well served, bus, subway, bicycle and sometimes tram. We take the metro regularly even if in the end the whole city can be done on foot.
In Barcelona it is difficult to get bored, especially at this season of the year. Walk around the Rambla, take a walk on Cataluna Square, enjoy tapas after work or go to the beach!

I am french and I live in Bordeaux. It is also a big city, so I am not disoriented.
What I like about Barcelona is the "vacancy" atmosphere. Many tourists throughout the year and especially in the coming months.
But I admit that for the "local" life becomes a little tougher with all these tourists.

But we noticed some negative points. It is necessary to pay attention to its bags, the pick pokets are well present! Several times we have observed that we were followed.
Moreover the city is not always clean or at least we find a lot of pollution because a lot of car in the city center. But  pollution  is everywhere now ...

If I take stock of my first month, I appreciate the Spanish life. The rhythm is totally different from our "French" and it feels good to see other culture.
It's nice and hot so everything goes for the best !!

In the next article, I would talk about the importance for me to do international placements

See you,

Xoxo
