5 reasons to do an internship abroad

Doing an internship is becoming more and more common for us students. But sometimes we hesitate to go to a country totally different from ours.

During my business school course, I did 2 internships abroad and the 2 in Spain. The first was on the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura, and the second, currently in Barcelona.

For this one I was not looking in Spain but rather in England to improve my English. But the opportunities were more propitious in Spain.

I will then tell you my reasons for leaving for an internship abroad:

1 - Open-mindedness.

You are directly imitate in another atmosphere, another culture that allows you to think about yourself. There are many questions about our lifestyle and habits. One reflects on the life here (in the new country) and the life of the local people.

2 - Experience, Adaptability

This gives you a new experience and you develop your adaptability. We are all different from the adaptation of things. Some are very enthusiastic to go abroad for a long time and others more shy because they apprehend their life there.

3 - Langage 

Something that is really important is the fact that abroad you will be able to improve your level in language. Even if you are perfectly bilingual, practicing is always good. It is a plus that is important for your professional life. 

4 - Network

With your abroad immersion, you will necessarily meet people who will constitute your network. Professional or friendly network is something essential. It will allow you to build more or less strong relationships that will sometimes open you opportunities.

5 - Resume

Today all schools or universities require an international stay. Indeed, it shows all the points we have previously stated to companies. This one is curious to know your professional experiences but also personal. Because the fact of going abroad has not only a professional aspet but also a personal aspet. That enriched you.

I regret a lot of not having lived a semester abroad because it is also a good way to open up to the world.
